A Few Insights Shared in an Interview:
How does today’s politically correct obsessed culture effect your content and the people who model for you?
Some of the work is erotic, but the majority is not confined to that definition. I aim for my work to be both body and sex positive. It can become empowering for those who seek it. I’ve essentially witnessed two types of feminism, which are sex positive and sex negative. One just seems more healthy and inclusive.
Do you plan out your shoots ahead of time or do you let the subject inspire you?
It turns out to be a combination of both. I generally have various loose ideas for a shoot, but I stay open to my subject, location and potential props. A lot of my photographs were spontaneously created out of an inspired moment.

About:
- I work with people of all experience levels and body types. Every shoot is directed by me, but is still a collaboration.
- Although my creations have a distinct edge, I also look for flattering captures that I'm proud to represent me and my body of work.
- I compare you being a model for me to that of you being an actress or an actor. I want you to convey a "part", represent an idea, or to depict an emotion.
- I keep it professional, and take my artistic craft seriously. That said, the atmosphere is kept light and relaxed.
- To be sure, the emphasis of my work is toward artistic nudes. It's free, so you are not being charged anything to model, because I work on a trade basis (time/effort of both is traded). As a model you will receive web copies of everything that I edit for myself. All sessions include both clothed and nude shots for the model (great for building or expanding a portfolio). It's a lot of work for me, and I operate at a loss for the sake of my art, therefore I must work on trade.
- If you want to commission me for a clothed shoot, please line up a booking. My rates are very affordable.
- Unless prearranged otherwise, I shoot in my home studio, which is in the garage. It gets warmed during the cold, and cooled when it's hot (before and during each shoot). It's where I create.
- I respect your privacy.
- I enjoy having music during the shoot, so please bring your playlist or cd's with you to plug in.
Basic Protocol:
- You must be 18 or older, present your photo ID, and sign my model release.
- Shoots last from 3 - 4 hours (plus travel), unless prearranged otherwise.
- Models start the shoots clothed, and then we proceed to artistic nude themes.
- Escorts are never permitted, unless I am paid for the shoot. We likely won't have a photo shoot if it's a deal breaker. On the rarest occasion that the subject is negotiated, it cannot be a loved one, a love interest, or a family member. If permitted, it should be a trusted friend who is eager to help if asked, and who will not interfere with the process. My work space is on the small side, and not having onlookers also helps to prevent the model from being subconsciously self-aware.
- I generally prefer minimal and natural looking make-up with a matte finish (not shiny), or even no make-up worn at all in many cases. The big exception would be something theatrical, and would be prearranged.
- Models usually bring an assortment of wardrobe and accessories that we choose from (please be inspired by the lists below).
- If you have any special talents or interests, please share them all in advance. I love to personalize shoots! Examples might be things like dance, depictions of irreverence, or something using specific props.
- As you probably realize, only I am allowed to edit the photos, which includes cropping, etc. Good communication is important for all requests.
Confirmations & Cancellations:
- I prepare a few hours before every shoot with proper confirmation. Please be considerate by confirming or canceling.
- For confirmation purposes, we exchange phone numbers for texting, and then I will forward you my studio address.
- Your privacy is of the utmost importance to me, so the number is literally for confirmation.
- I generally like to confirm the day before a shoot, and another a few hours before the shoot, especially during the hot and cold months.
- In some cases, rescheduling might require a non-refundable deposit.
Only for Booking for a Strictly Clothed Session (Portfolios, Head Shots, or Portraits):
- For $150 you will receive a 2 hour photo shoot in my studio, outfit changes, and eight quality edited web photos.
