Legit Questions I Have Been Asked:
Why would I ever model for you?
I think the common thread my models share, is for the love of being part of the creative process in my art. You must decide for yourself, and also realize that you will be signing my model release. Please read further to make an informed decision, as I never want anyone to have regrets.
Are you charging me money for this photo shoot?
Not as long as we agree to work TF (trade for), meaning that for my concentration in artistic nudes, you will be trading your time as a model, and I will be trading my time shooting and editing.
What if I love your style, but I am not comfortable posing nude?
I understand completely, because it’s definitely not for everyone. Because I have such a large workload to edit for my main concentration, I have to charge for other commissions, which do pull me away from my working pursuits. The good news is that my rates for everything else is very reasonable.
What about implied nudity?
I love implied work, and incorporate it often. That said, I do not find shame concerning any part of the human anatomy, so out of fairness to all my models, and to myself, I must stick with no limits when it comes to the concentration that I trade for. The good news is that my rates for everything else is very reasonable.
I would love being part of your creativity, but can I also have a portrait that is appropriate to share with my parents and post uncensored in places like Facebook?
Absolutely. Unless we agree otherwise, shoots begin in a clothed portrait style.
Where are these pictures shown, and what are your goals?
I definitely show them on my website. I’m always open to showing my work at various galleries, other appropriate venues, magazines and web interviews. I also frequently show the work on my Facebook & Instagram Cinespire pages, and sometimes my personal FB page. My goal is simply to create and share my art.
Hey boy, are you wanting to ruin my life with my family and friends, not to mention my career by tagging me in these photos?
"Heck no, I value your privacy", is the short and honest answer. Because I have so many models who have this concern, I purposely do not tag or credit people on my website or with social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. Instead, I allow people to tag themselves if they wish, which does provide a linked connection that you should certainly think about. The paradox is that I want my art to be seen and enjoyed, but my intentions are not to cause distress in anyone's life. I am thankful for, and value the people who model for me. The one caveot is that if you wish to post a photograph that I have taken, I love to be credited.
I want to post a nude Cinespire photo on Facebook and Instagram, but it appears to be against their policies.
Due to my found love for Instagram, I began censoring certain photos that I wanted to share. Please allow me to create a censored version for you, because I like to include the name, Cinespire in a set format. Again, I love to be credited.
My daughter is 17 years old, can you help her with her portfolio?
Uh, no - absolutely not. Models must be 18 or older in order to sign my model release.
What are your philosophies about what you create and present?
I create with the spirit of joy and celebration. I think there is no greater beauty than that of the human face and form. I do not find shame concerning any part of the human anatomy. The beauty I find comes in all shapes and sizes. I consider myself body and sex positive, with the emphasis being that a person being 18 y.o. or older can control their own body in the fashion that they desire only by giving consent. I deplore shaming, and I hate disrespect. I do believe in personal freedom very much, and I feel like my work reflects that. My work doesn't always fit the definition of pretty, but I do strive for flattering shots that represent my overall portfolio.
Do you edit all of the photos?
Not by a long shot. I edit the photos that speak to me, and that I feel best represent my body of work. That's not to say that I won't provide you with a couple of photos that are just outside this parameter.
I notice some bondage style photos in your portfolio, what’s up with that?
As my portfolio reveals, my work has a definite edge. The inclusion of BDSM work (by consent only) takes the boundaries of my celebration of personal freedom to a higher level. With consent, I truly feel that people 18 y.o. and older can express themselves in the manner they so choose. Safety is always the top priority and concern. For models this is never a style to go into without some deep self-reflection. Even mild set-ups for depictions can be intense for both the body and the mind.
Okay, what is your greatest fault?
I am terribly slow at editing, and I always seem to have a backlog from multiple shoots. This is my confession, so I rely on the patience of the people who are so kind and generous to have worked for me.
